Lore Loyens recently graduated KASK School of Arts with a master's degree in film direction. She has been active in the industry since 2019, with an emphasis on directing and casting.

​

Last year, Lore directed 'Subterranean', the first  Belgian film scripted by artificial intelligence, which premiered at Film Fest Gent 2023. The movie garnered significant media attention, leading Lore to participate in multiple panels and masterclasses where she discussed the pros and cons of A.I. and explored its impact on the film industry.​ Her latest short film, 'Did it hurt when you fell from heaven', won the We Love Cinema Young Talent Award and was screened in all Belgian movie theaters.

Lore has been actively involved in various film festivals, serving as a juror for the Giornate degli Autori award at the Venice Film Festival in 2022 as the Belgian ambassador for 27 Times Cinema. She was part of the +18 jury at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2019, participated in the Kinoguarimba film residency in Italy in 2021, and was part of the Odense Talent Camp at the Odense Film Festival in 2024.

Currently she works part time at Sienjosephine Casting in Antwerp, Belgium, where she coordinates auditions, assists with making casting decisions and supports the overal casting process. Her background in directing contributes to the team's effectiveness in selecting the best talent for each role.
